Синтаксис, в целом, делает язык трудно для изучения, уже не говоря о ведущем устройстве. Поэтому, чем меньший набор синтаксиса, тем легче изучить и попытаться освоить. Это - основная причина, почему много новых языков заимствуют синтаксис из популярных, существующих языков.
