Запуск службы в Android

Я хочу вызвать службу, когда начнется определенное действие. Итак, вот класс обслуживания:

И вот как я его называю:

Intent serviceIntent = new Intent();
serviceIntent.setAction("cidadaos.cidade.data.UpdaterServiceManager");
startService(serviceIntent);

Проблема в том, что ничего не происходит. Приведенный выше блок кода вызывается в конце действия onCreate . Я уже отлаживал и не генерировал никаких исключений.

Есть идеи?
