как настроить Spring mvc 3, чтобы он не возвращал «нулевой» объект в ответе json?

образец ответа json выглядит так:

{"publicId":"123","status":null,"partner":null,"description":null}

Было бы неплохо усечь все нулевые объекты в ответе. В этом случае ответ будет иметь вид {"publicId": "123"} .

Есть совет? Спасибо!

PS: Думаю, я смогу сделать это в Джерси. Также я считаю, что они оба используют Джексона в качестве обработчика JSON.
