Подключение / сопряжение гарнитуры Bluetooth и Android

Я пытаюсь создать простую программу, которая сканирует гарнитуру bluetooth (я тестирую с гарнитурой PS3), а затем подключаюсь к ней. Я использую код из примера программы чата Bluetooth . Однако я не могу заставить его подключиться ни к чему. Он выдает мне исключение ввода-вывода, когда доходит до connect ().
