Android - Вызов GONE, а затем VISIBLE приводит к тому, что представление отображается не в том месте

У меня есть два представления, A и B, и представление A находится над представлением B (оба являются линейными макетами).

Когда я программно устанавливаю для представления A значение GONE, оно исчезает, а представление, которое было прямо под ним (B), переходит на место представления A (как и ожидалось).

Однако, когда я снова устанавливаю для того же вида (A) значение VISIBLE, оно отображается НАД видом B. Я этого не хочу. Я хочу, чтобы представление B вернулось в исходное положение (под представлением A), как я думал, это произойдет (но это не так). Как я могу это сделать?
