Обнаружение жестов и проблема ScrollView

Я пытаюсь создать макет с ViewFlipper, содержащим ScrollViews. Идея состоит в том, чтобы обнаруживать горизонтальные смахивания для перехода к предыдущему / следующему ScrollView. Более того, ScrollView содержит еще один ViewFlipper, содержащий ImageView с детектором вертикального смахивания для перехода к предыдущему / следующему ImageView. Когда я заменяю ScrollView на LinearLayout, оба детектора жестов работают правильно, но с ScrollView ни один из них не работает (слушатели жестов даже не являются триггерами). Почему использование ScrollView отключает мои детекторы жестов? Как заставить его работать?
