iTextSharp HTMLWorker.ParseToList () выдает исключение NullReferenceException

Я использую iTextSharp v.4 для слияния целой кучи html-файлов. Он работал нормально, пока мне не потребовалось обновить iTextSharp до v.5.

Проблема возникает, когда я передаю средство чтения потока (считывающее содержимое html-файла) методу ParseToList объекта HTMLWorker. Он генерирует исключение нулевой ссылки. При отладке я могу получить доступ к streamReader и могу подтвердить правильность содержимого файл читается.

В блоке catch вы увидите, что затем я использую практически тот же код для добавления текста в pdf, чтобы сообщить, что возникла проблема. Этот код работает нормально. Это, конечно, заставляет меня думать, что проблема заключается в содержимом исходной строки html, поэтому вот содержимое строки, как оно есть непосредственно перед передачей в синтаксический анализатор:
