HTTPURLConnection — POST multipart/form-data с большим файлом с FixedLengthStreamingMode

Итак, я пытаюсь отправить POST-запрос multipart/form-data с помощью большой файл изображения. Я не могу предварительно преобразовать файл в массив байтов, мое приложение вылетит с исключением OutOfMemory, поэтому мне нужно записать содержимое файла непосредственно в выходной поток соединения. Кроме того, мой сервер не поддерживает режим фрагментирования, поэтому перед отправкой данных мне приходится вычислять длину содержимого и использовать setFixedLengthStreamingMode соединения.

К сожалению, мое приложение вылетает с IOException в outputStream.close(), и я понятия не имею, почему:
