getHeight возвращает 0 для всех объектов пользовательского интерфейса Android

Я создаю пользовательский интерфейс, и все он статичен, определен в XML. Все они имеют веса повсюду, и, хотя это выглядит правильно, я хотел убедиться, что вещи действительно имеют правильную высоту и все такое. Проблема в том, что независимо от того, где я вызываю .getHeight () для макета моего формата, я получаю 0. Я пробовал и в onCreate (), и в onStart (). То же самое. Также происходит со всеми объектами пользовательского интерфейса. Есть идеи?
