Как прочитать содержимое файла из файла?

Используя Python3, надеемся os.walk каталог файлов, считывать их в двоичный объект (строку?) И производить с ними некоторую дальнейшую обработку. Однако первый шаг: как прочитать результаты файла (ов) os.walk ?
