Включение ScrollViewer HorizontalSnapPoints с привязываемой коллекцией

Я пытаюсь создать опыт, подобный ScrollViewerSample из примеров Windows 8 SDK, чтобы иметь возможность привязываться к элементам внутри ScrollViewer при прокрутке влево и вправо. Реализация из примера (, которая работает), подобна этой:

Единственная разница с моей желаемой реализацией заключается в том, что мне нужна не StackPanel с элементами внутри, а то, к чему я могу привязаться. Я пытаюсь сделать это с помощью ItemsControl, но по какой-то причине поведение Snap не срабатывает :

Благодаря Денису, я в конечном итоге использовал следующий стиль для ItemsControl и полностью удалил ScrollViewer и встроенный ItemsPanelTemplate:
